It’s difficult to say what is healthy and what is not healthy for our bodies. Research keeps changing and every 5 to 10 years the item that was not healthy is now healthy. Who knows what to choose? With THM some of the guess work is taken away. You can feel confident in your daily food choices by simply following the guidelines for E, S, or FP meals. It’s that simple.
Some things will be your own personal choice items, some times we will choose to eat off plan items. It’s all okay!!! We have the freedom to make our choices in that moment with the knowledge that in 3 hours our next meal will allow us to once again choose the option that is best for us at that time. It also depends on our journey through life. Are we in our childbearing years, peri-menopause or menopause. Are we struggling with hormonal changes, thyroid issues or pre-diabetic/diabetic difficulties. Are we a turtle looser or do we start off with a bang? Are we sensitive to certain foods right now or do we have full blown allergies or conditions that prevent us from eating certain foods?
All of these things will play into the choices we make on a daily basis. Did I even mention our moods or life challenges that we may be facing??? No wonder it is difficult at times to know what is healthy or not healthy.
Listen to your body, your heart and your mind and spirit/higher power/guide. All of these will help you to make the best decisions for yourself at each moment in your life. You’ve got this!!!
